Taking to TikTok, netizen @ummcakkk shared a video of this smart doggo that knows how to ‘perform’ in an attempt to gain sympathy from onlookers.

Give this video a watch.

With the caption, “At first, I felt pity for the doggo… Watch until the end, as it was simply fooling us.”

In the video, the dog can be seen crawling across the road, showing that he simply could not make his legs work. As the video progressed and as many gained sympathy towards it, the dog simply got up and crossed the road.

Cheeky!

Apparently, this is not entirely uncommon, as the comments section was filled with others experiencing the same thing.

“I was once duped. This dog that I met was rolling around in the middle of the road, thinking that he was hit by another vehicle.”

“I was concerned, so I approached it, and it simply ran away. I was late to work that day.”

Who knew that dogs could dupe people and make their way onto social media?
