WATCH: Tapir Tragically Dies After Being Hit by Car in Kluang, Netizens Mourn Its Loss

In a heartbreaking incident, a tapir was tragically killed after being struck by a car in Kluang, Malaysia.

In the accident which apparently occurred yesterday (April 19), the tapir was caught on video stumbling after it had crossed a road when it was hit by a speeding vehicle.

In other posts on the Facebook group Kluang Hari Ini, it was understood that the tapir had succumbed to its injuries shortly after the collision.

Netizens took to the comments section to mourn the loss of the tapir, which is considered an endangered species. Meanwhile, others blamed the authorities for their apparent lack of action when it comes to protecting such wildlife.

“Rest in peace, tapir.. this world is no longer your place. Even if we put up signboards, people still don’t understand. Waiting for immediate medical help is just a dream..”

Another user said, “So sad… what if the one who died was a mother tapir… her children must be waiting for her to come home.”
