Recently, residents of the Gwangjin district in Seoul, South Korea had the shock of their lives after seeing a zebra galloping around the district’s busy roads and back alleys. As reported by CNN, the animal escaped from its enclosure at a local zoo and was recorded by locals going around the city streets and ironically, walking along a zebra crossing.

The zebra, a 3-year-old male named Sero was cornered to a narrow alleyway between houses by emergency workers before being shot with tranquillisers. Sero was then safely transported back to the zoo by firefighters and zoo officials.

However, one particular video of the zebra’s adventure in Seoul has gone viral on social media due to the rather comedic manner of an individual’s reaction to seeing the animal. Posted on the r/funny subreddit on, well, Reddit, the video shows a man walking along an alley before noticing something up ahead.

He then quickly but calmly turned around and walked in the opposite direction with his hands behind his back. The video then showed the zebra galloping through the alleyway to where the man was just seconds before.

You can watch the whole video here:

In the Reddit post’s comments, many Redditors praised the man’s calmness at such a random occurrence. The top comment reads, “His nope response time is on point” and we can’t agree more!

Meanwhile, another commenter said that “My man just watched Jumanji and noped out of there real quick”, referring to the Jumanji film series which had a scene of random animals rampaging through the city. Well, this video certainly won’t be out of place in that movie!

However, based on other videos of the incident, the man in the video may not be some random bystander but an emergency worker tasked with recapturing the animal. In another video, the man who calmly ‘noped out’ of the way can be seen standing beside other emergency workers and assisting in recapturing Sero. However, the man’s identity was never revealed.

So, what do you guys think of the whole incident? Have you seen or know of an incident similar to this? Share your thoughts and experiences with us in the comments.
