Ever since the mass outbreak, Wuhan has been branded a “zombieland” by worried locals trapped in the city after China’s authorities put Wuhan on lockdown yesterday morning. However, that didn’t stop netizens from documenting the horrific sight of what remains of Wuhan, with footage allegedly revealing citizens collapsing on the streets, all over the deserted town.

According to the Daily Star, one of the videos uploaded directly from the city appears to show a man lying unresponsively on the floor after he heaved and coughed, collapsing to the floor, while waiting in line to receive treatment.

In another video, a supposedly infected citizen wearing a black coat can be seen in an unconscious state as he collapsed on a street in Wuhan. The footage reveals the man bleeding from the side of his face as fully equipped medics rush to assist the poor man.

While these videos appear alarming, netizens are advised to be wary when speculating about the Wuhan virus. As worrying as the epidemic is, we shouldn’t spread unnecessary panic.

The symptoms of this new breed coronavirus include fever, cough, runny nose and difficulties in breathing. If you know anyone who is at risk of this deadly disease, do advise them to consult medical assistance immediately. Stay safe, guys!
