Love is eternal, but that is not certainly the case for some couples, given the challenges and circumstances that they may face together. For an elderly married couple in China who were both unfortunately infected with Covid-19, this certainly proves to be true, according to a report from Sin Chew Daily.

Suffering from the symptoms of the highly contagious virus, which typically infects the young and the elderly most quickly, the 87-year-old husband and his 83-year-old wife have found themselves quarantined in a hospital. Thankfully, living arrangements allowed them to have a room just next to each other.

But one day, the man’s elderly wife stubbornly refused to eat despite attempts by medical staff to feed her. This is where things get incredibly heartwarming, and shows the true extent that love can go.

Sitting next to her bed, the man then coaxes his wife to eat and after a few attempts, she finally caved in and was fed by her husband.

The video, which has been highly circulated online over Chinese social media, has moved many netizens to tears. It is unclear, however, where the elderly couple is being warded at this time.

Regardless of which, we definitely hope that they will be able to beat the odds and recover from their bout of illness soon!
