One of the most dangerous things on the road that could happen to a motorcyclist is riding across a pothole.

In a video that has gone slightly viral on Facebook, the dashcam footage taken on the night of June 13 showed how a motorcyclist lost his balance after riding across a pothole.

A few seconds into the video, a rider appeared on the left-hand side and rode right across a pothole filled with water.

This action splashed water on the car where the dashcam was, and the motorcyclist himself started losing balance violently due to the momentum.

However, the rider remained calm and, guided by their reflexes, could straighten out the motorcycle without any accident happening.

After seeing this, many netizens questioned why the authorities did not fill up the pothole as it was extremely dangerous for road users.

“The authorities would always issue summons towards problematic vehicles. Would it be okay for us to bring cases like this to the court? Hold the authorities accountable for not maintaining roads which can cause accidents and even death.”

“JKR should have a patrol unit on roads like these,” said a user.

Many were thankful that the rider was safe and could straighten his motorcycle in time.

“Alhamdullilah he is still safe. He was very skilful at controlling the motorcycle though.”

It was certainly a very good save. However, we hope that the authorities will note this matter to ensure it doesn’t happen again.
