GrabFood riders are our unsung heroes who never fail to meet all the weird requests of their customers.

In a video posted on Twitter, Singaporean GrabFood rider, Azhar Jamil shared an amusing encounter with a customer who requested for him to deliver the food through a window on the sixth floor of a HDB flat.

He was told to use a pulley system that would hoist the food from the ground floor to the sixth floor!

The request tickled him so much that he recorded the whole process and uploaded the video on Twitter where it has since gained 1,300 retweets at the time of writing.

Here’s how it all happened:

The video starts off with Azhar saying that this is “one of the craziest food delivery experience” and tells his viewers to just watch the video.

Here, the food package is seen being attached to a rope.

You must be wondering why Azhar was requested to do such a thing.

Well, many netizens assumed that the customer was just being lazy, but Azhar shared the real reason behind this unique request.

The customer was apparently grounded and could not come down from his flat to receive his food. But I guess nothing was going to stop him from having his dinner.

“I don’t know who is the lazy one; him who needs to answer the door, or you who has to go up,” a netizen said.

“Customer requested because he was grounded,” Azhar replied.
