The legendary Ramly burger is a staple of Malaysia’s street side foods but it seems that the local burger has even gotten extremely popular amongst foreigners and tourists.

In fact, it is so highly rated that it was rated as one of the best burgers in the world by a UK vlogger and was even recreated by an award-winning American film-maker as part of his burger making series of videos.

In a similar instance, an Australian tourist recently shared his love for the iconic burger in a video which has since gone viral.

In the video posted on TikTok by Nic, he documented his experience of visiting a Ramly burger stall.

As he approaches the stall, the stall owner ecstatically greeted Nic and said that he remembers him.

Nic then places his order for a beef Ramly burger, and the stall owner who is known as Abang Boo’bo prepares the order whilst smiling for Nic’s camera and making funny gestures.

In regards to the Ramly burger video, Nic said that it was actually his second time as he stumbled across Boo’bo’s stall on his very first night in Malaysia.

“He immediately greeted me and and I could tell right away he was a cheerful character and would make for a great video. Plus, the burger was really good. So I came back a couple of nights later,” he added.

In various other videos on his account, Nic shared his experiences of trying hot milo, roti milo and his favourites, roti bakar, roti kosong and teh tarik.

True Malaysian spirit!

The video has since gone viral and garnered over 336,500 views. Netizens praised Nic for being adventurous enough to try our food and for enjoying it in true Malaysian style.

“You have officially landed because you had a taste of the ‘burger tepi jalan’.”
