Tell us you love your job, without telling us you love your job. A waiter at a steakhouse in KL showed his dedication to the job and the customers by “stealing the show” during a birthday celebration.

In a TikTok post by @dzurinadzulkhaini, the clip shows her kids attempting to sing a birthday song at a restaurant, and since the children were a little embarrassed, as well as other family members who barely sang it out, a waiter decided to step in.

It instantly went from gloomy to lively.

He did not only sing it louder but he also elevated the fun by singing the birthday song in his own invented tune, instead of going with the normal rhythm of the birthday song.

“Happy birthday, happy birthday, happy birthday to you… you… you!”

His singing was applauded and accompanied by the guests’ laughter but it did not end there. The waiter, without a short break, immediately continued with his “own-crafted” lyrics. This time, he impressed the guests not only with the lyrics but also with his high-pitched voice and how long he could go on without stopping to catch a breath.

It was effortless. Some experiences can’t be penned down, so it’s best that you listen to his impressive impromptu singing in the viral clip below.

In a brief conversation with WORLD OF BUZZ, Dzurina said that she was celebrating her husband’s birthday with the family at the time, and it was at a steakhouse in Medan Damansara, KL.

“I was entertained and I really laughed. We really appreciate what the waiter did. It immediately became a fun and memorable birthday celebration.”

Some netizens, including those who had the honour of being served by the same waiter, also stepped in to praise his dedication.

“The waiter was stressed out with work and with how you all sang, it made him even more stressed out! That’s why he decided to just sing for you,” a netizen laughed.

“I celebrate my birthday here every year. He is known for this kind of personality!”

“He is dedicated. I love to be served by this waiter.”
