In a video posted on Twitter account 999 Malaysia, a PDRM officer in a helmet is seen chasing and trying to catch a man, believed to be a criminal suspect. The video was recorded by a driver near Honda Pandan Indah, and the suspect can be seen aggressively trying to run away from the police.
The scene happened while several cars were waiting in traffic. At first two officers are seen opening the doors of a Proton Iswara, presumably the suspect’s car, but the suspect gets out with what looks like a long stick and desperately tries to manoeuvre through the traffic to escape arrest.
The suspect reaches the road divider and manages to climb over it, but the policeman catches him by his shirt and holds him back. However, the suspect continues to struggle as the officer can be seen almost losing grip of him. The suspect also throws a punch at the officer, but the officer continues to hold on to him until a group of men comes over to help him.
The video shows a motorcyclist coming over to give the officer a hand, and they both manage to pull the suspect back over the divider. However, the suspect still seems too strong for two men to handle.
That’s when several other motorcyclists join in to restrain the suspect. Three other people with helmets also joined in and held the man down, and even a Food Panda rider was seen approaching the scene to help.
It wasn’t revealed what happened next, whether the suspect was arrested or if they even managed to capture him, but netizens seem to be impressed at how the five motorcyclists came to help the officer. Many saluted the man in the purple shirt while others said that the Food Panda rider needed a promotion.
The tweet has since gained about 4,400 retweets and 2,800 likes at the time of writing.
