The fate of Anwar Ibrahim as the next Prime Minister remains uncertain as the Deputy President of UMNO, who attended the meeting with PH yesterday morning in KL hotel expressed disinterest in forming a government with any party.
Just last night, Dato Seri Utama Haji Mohamad suggested that Perikatan Nasional (PN) and Pakatan Harapan (PH) should form a government instead since both parties have secured major seats in GE15. In his Facebook post last night (November 21), Haji Mohamad said that Barisan Nasional (BN) will happily stay as the Opposition who will be responsible for checking and balancing the new government.
“However, if our help is still needed, we’ll be ready to contribute.”
Haji Mohamad, better known as Tok Mat also said that BN has accepted the result and the fact that the people rejected BN during GE15. With only 30 seats secured, Tok Mat said they are unable to form a government with such a low number.
He then reminded the people that BN should not be blamed if both parties are still unable to come together and form a government. To him, this is simply a process of democracy.
“We’re simply respecting the result of the democracy, and we’re returning the mandate to the people,” Tok Mat clarified.
He ended his post by saying,
“May God save Malaysia.”

As of yesterday, Perikatan Nasional has submitted over 112 SDs that express support towards Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yasin as 10th PM to the National Palace, and the party seemed ready to lead the country.
