Trail running is simply defined as going for a run in the heart of nature. It’s an extremely all-round non-stadia sport that, of course, works the legs, and basically your stamina.

Finding solace in trail running is a rarity, especially when it is done at night. But for this group of trail runners, to what began as a dream, turned into a nightmare as organisers to an event that they joined in, were less than professional in their event management skills.

Here is a video of the incident.

Taking to Twitter, this netizen complained at how crowded the event was.

“This is an example of how organisers scam us out of our money. It is so crowded that it looks like a pasar malam.”

Paying a sum of RM520, the organisers made the decision to release runners from different categories on very short intervals.

“For us in the 60k category, we were released first. An hour later, the 30k category and finally the 14k category.”

“The trail was fine, it was the waiting that tired all of us out.”

Let’s hope that the management of the event, will come out with a statement clarifying the matter soon.
