VIDEOS: Traffic Is Still Slow On The PLUS Highway Following Major Accident Earlier Today

Traffic is moving slowly towards Nilai and the Kontra Line has been activated, following clean up work of a fatal accident, on top of the fact that it’s raining.

A lorry driver has passed away after being involved in a 5-vehicle crash at KM 280, South bound on the North-South Expressway (PLUS), earlier today.

According to a report by Sinar Harian, the Operations Center (PGO) of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department Negeri Sembilan shared that a team of officers and firefighters from the Nilai Fire and Rescue Station rushed to the location upon receiving an emergency call at 11.43am.

“The operation commander reported an accident involving 5 vehicles, namely 2 trailers, 3 cars and a motorcycle. Rescue work was carried out by the fire department,”

“There were 10 victims, however one of them, a 43-year-old man who was a lorry driver, died at the scene of the incident,” they said.

It was confirmed by the medical officer from the Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM) that the lorry driver has passed away and the incident was handed over to the police for further action.

“Injured victims were sent to a hospital by ambulance and Emergency Rescue and Treatment Service (EMRS) machinery,” they added.

It is best to avoid the going South bound on the PLUS highway until the accident has been cleared.
