Tour Bus Carrying 25 Passengers Hits Roadside Barrier & Nearly Falls Off Cliff in Genting Highlands

Another accident involving a bus had taken place in Malaysia, this time involving a tour bus carrying 25 passengers that nearly fell off a cliff in Bentong, Pahang, last night (June 21).

In an official statement by the Bentong District Police, the bus was on its way from Genting Highlands to Serdang, and the vehicle lost control before hitting the roadside barrier. Passengers of the bus also included international tourists.

Fortunately, no deaths were reported. However, the 54-year-old Malaysian bus driver, a 74-year-old passenger and another foreign tourist suffered injuries.

Police also confirmed that no other vehicles were involved in the accident, and the injured had been sent to the hospital to receive treatment. The accident happened around 7:35 PM.

In the meantime, PDRM also advised all road users to always be careful when driving, especially in hilly areas, and to ensure that vehicles are well-maintained.
