Malaysia is known for its frequent floods due to heavy rains and clogged drainage systems. This often leaves vehicles stranded on the road as waters can often rise up to half the height of a regular car.
This also creates massive jams that can only clear out once the water subsides. Larger vehicles like four-wheel drive cars, jeeps and trucks are the only ones able to make it through the flood as they are usually built to drive through rocky and uneven roads, and for some, extreme terrains.
Unfortunately for the smaller vehicles like sedans and hatchbacks, trying to go through the flood would only damage the engine, which would cost a lot to have it repaired.
However, it seems like the raging waters could not stop this Perodua Myvi from braving through the flood!
A video posted by Siakap Keli shows a brownish-grey Myvi slowly moving through a flood that is high enough to cover half its body. At this point of time, the road cannot be seen at all, but the car makes a slow turn to the left.
At first, it looks like the Myvi is being overwhelmed by the flood as it is almost swept away by the currents. It glides and “drifts” in the water and looks as if it might be spun around. However, the driver seems to take control of the car and steers the car back on track.
The Myvi then manages to drive off the flooded road onto higher ground. Walao!
This is actually amazing as two larger vehicles behind the Myvi can be seen stuck in the flood as the small hatchback car daringly makes its way across the road.
The video has been getting lots of attention on social media, garnering about 1,300 shares and about 7,400 likes at the time of writing. However, it’s unknown where this video was taken but netizens really seem impressed at this Myvi.
Just look at it go!
