Eateries nowadays are not like those back in the days when it consisted of tables, chairs and cooked food.

Now, if you want to make a big splash, you would need to have an out-of-the-world concept with good social media marketing, accessibility and good food.

This Indonesian store selling iced tea has probably one of the most creative concepts that we’ve seen as they are selling teh ais dispensed from machines that look like fuel pumps.

Their name itself is a wordplay; Pertamina is a popular gas station in Indonesia and this store is named PerTEHmina. They really stuck to the gas station concept.

According to this video by the store, the staff are dressed like petrol pump workers who will help customers fill their takeaway plastic bag (or as Malaysians call it, the ikat tepi).

Their menu is not only limited to one type of iced tea, customers can choose to have a large or an extra large serving, and they can even opt for flavoured tea!

The price is also affordable ranging from 3,000 to 9,000 Indonesian Rupiah (RM0.91 ~ RM2.73) which is definitely a plus point.

Even though they claim that the pump is food-safe, we do hope that they conduct regular cleaning on the pump!

Would you try this if they opened up a branch in Malaysia? Let us know in the comments.
