If you are a fan of Asia’s Got Talent, then the Sacred Riana from Indonesia or Malaysia’s very own vocal group NAMA and many others should be familiar to you.

The hit show has unearthed talented individuals from a multitude of backgrounds capable of jaw-dropping performances in pursuit of the golden buzzer and ultimately the USD100,000 prize money.

But one Malaysian act has recently caught the eye of Asia. A 15-year-old human calculator showcased his arithmetic skills, beating a calculator in the process.

SMK Bandar Tun Hussein Onn’s Yaashwin Sarawanan, wowed judges David Foster, Anggun and Jay Park when he began his act asking David to assist keeping count with a calculator.

His split-second answer to any equation captivated the tendance and to a point triggered Anggun’s response that Yaashwin had actually ‘beat’ the calculator.

Garnering more than 664k views on Youtube, Yaashwin can do math faster than you can press on your calculator.

Netizens were at awe with the Yaashwin’s skills with some giving hilarious comments in support of their fellow Malaysian.

“That’s a promise!”

Go Yaashwin! Malaysia is rooting for you.
