Yes, you read that right, this clothes designing competition is held by the waste management company Alam Flora. 

If you’re someone who enjoys sketching or making clothes, then you might want to check out this contest by Alam Flora which requires one to come up with a design that uses recyclable items only.

The grand prize winner can walk away with RM3,000, 1st runner up with RM2,000 and 2nd runner up with RM3,000. There are also consolation prizes for those in 4th to 10th place and they will get RM200 each. Adding on to that, there are also prizes for best social media and best model.

Design Prize Contest

According to their Facebook post, this contest is open to all Malaysians aged 18 and above and every entry must comprise of only 1 designer with a model.

The design must be done using recyclable items only and not single-use plastic such as polystyrene or styrofoam.

It is also stated that the design must be according to this year’s theme: MET GALA, Romantic and Glamourous Hollywood design.
