If it was up to us, we would want to stay forever with our loved ones. Unfortunately, we can never beat fate and we’ll never know if today is going to be the last day we get to spend with other people, with unexpected last words.
With Malaysians grieving the death of fallen heroes of the TLDM helicopter tragedy, a 17-year-old man shared the last words that his mum, Waran II Noorfarahimi Mohd Saedy (fondly known as Farah) had told him. She was 1 of the casualties from the tragedy.
“Take care of your sisters,” Farah told her son.
It was reported that she also called her husband in the morning before participating in the rehearsal which unexpectedly turned into a tragedy. No one knew that the reminders were Farah’s last words.
It was also Farah’s plan to have 1 last helicopter ride before her retirement. She had made plans for her retirement – buying a house in Jitra, Kedah where she would live with her husband. Unfortunately, the plan never happened. Farah’s husband and kids – a 17-year-old son and 2 daughters who are 12 and 10, were left to grieve the huge loss.
Farah’s sister-in-law, Umi Kalsom said that she received the news about the death at home through a phone call by her brother (Farah’s husband).
“My brother struggled to tell us about the news. He told us to get more information on social media and the news.”
Umi last saw Farah during Ramadhan at her house, where they had Iftar together. Again, who would’ve known that was their very last moment together?
