Following the announcement by Dr Li Chunrong, CEO of Proton, there are four specifications for this model that are available. Here’s the breakdown:

  • 1.5T Standard Variant (RM79,200)
  • 1.5T Standard Executive (RM84,800)
  • 1.5T Premium (RM93,200)

Before the big reveal, Proton was said to already acquire 20,000 bookings for the X50 in two weeks despite an additional RM500 booking cost. Many are drawn to Proton’s SUV series (X70 and X50) due to their extensive safety features and ADAS. This includes functions like Forward Collision Warning, Pedestrian Detection, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, and Lane Departure Warning Systems.

What do you guys think about the X50? Do these extra features make the model worth it?
