UHUK UHUK! That’s probably what all of us are hearing in our daily lives right now because of the haze. Many people are feeling the effects of it now and this includes the iconic cat statue in Kuching!

Netizens saw on 21 September that the cat was wearing a surgical mask to combat the haze and MBKS had hung a bunting on its paw to advise the public of the do’s and don’t’s during this hazy season.

As we had said before in an article, surgical masks are not really that effective against the haze since it is made in such a way that it’ll catch the wearer’s fluids. The only mask that is effective against this terrible haze is the N95, so we were left wondering why didn’t they use it on Kuching?

Later on, at night, MBKS finally realised their mistake and changed it to an N95 mask. Kudos to MBKS for being efficient! How adorable right?!

According to Borneo Post, MBKS regularly dresses up the statue to mark festive seasons and other major occasions or events!

All jokes aside, we would like to ask our readers to wear N95 masks when going outdoors and to drink water constantly as prolonged exposure to haze will definitely take a toll on our bodies. Take care, guys!
