Think Surgical Mask is Good for Haze? This Guy Reminds Malaysians To Use This Mask Instead

Wake up and smell the coffee! Cough! Cough! That’s not coffee, that’s haze.

Yes, we are currently facing the annual haze problem which bugs not only Malaysia, but also most countries in the region. There have been debates about the origin of the haze, but one thing’s for sure, the problem this time is much worse than previous occasions.

As we have yet to find the best way to stop the haze from happening, we should practice good measures in order to take care of our health and the easiest way is to wear masks when we go out. In light of this, a Malaysian by the name of Kenny Liew has produced a funny digital artwork explaining to others on the functions of masks and their level of effectiveness. It’s really educational tbh! So read on!

He told WORLD OF BUZZ,

“It is the haze season again. I just thought that it will be great to provide some entertainment while explaining to people of the functions of mask, especially during this period where breathing can be a problem!” 

He started off with the most common mask that all of us are used to, the surgical mask.

Although this is the most common mask for all of us, the mask is actually designed to catch fluid rather than dust particles. Hence it is kind of useless for the haze. The next mask is specifically for Naruto fans out there, the Kakashi mask.

This mask is more towards style than anything else. Sadly it will also not give your any ninja powers and you cannot ‘Naruto Run’ to outrun the haze too.

The Chernobyl mask is by far the most effective mask on the list of course. However, apart from warding off haze, the mask might also keep your friends and loved ones away as well.

This is the mask that all of us should use and yet only a handful of us will utilise it. If the haze problem cannot be solved anytime soon, we should invest in a few of these during the normal seasons when the price is not as expensive.

According to Kenny, he does not consider himself as a visual artist and he came out with the posting just as a reminder to all Malaysians to take care of their health.

Apart from reminding people to wear the right mask, Kenny also left a note for everyone to always drink water and stay indoors during the haze season to prevent themselves from falling sick.

So keep note on what mask to wear guys! Stop using the surgical mask too as contrary to belief, it’s actually NOT useful! Share it to a friend!
