Taking to Twitter, this netizen shared a video of Terengganu PAS Exco, Hanafiah Mat making choice comments about the food he ate, which was unbecoming for a politician representing an Islamist Party.

In his video, the PAS Exco instructed a person who was with him to record his comments on the meal, which to him was sub-par.

Here is his video.

Garnering 1 million views, he said: “Take a look at this meal. There is only one fish. The vegetables came out like this…and there is no gravy.”

“Let me pour some orange juice on it. Now it is better tasting already.”

Netizens commenting on the tweet was less than impressed with what they saw, with many stating that a man of religion should not treat food, which in Islam is a gift from God, as such.

“There is a difference between this person and a man who knows how to respect food.”

In his comment, this netizen even included a clip from PMX, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim himself who mentioned that there it is unacceptable for a devout Muslim to condemn food that a person eats.

“You are not supposed to behave this way, when it comes to food. We can choose the food we want to eat, and there is a way to approach such a situation.”

“It does not only apply to people in positions of power, but also to everyday folks. It is never good to condemn.”
