18yo M’sian Taken to Police Station After Video of Him Jogging Naked in Shah Alam Goes Viral

A video has been making the rounds online showing a man running naked at a traffic light junction near Persiaran Kayangan, Section 8 in Shah Alam.

The incident happened on 8 April 2025 around 8:30 AM, and officers from the Section 6 Police Station were sent to the scene after getting word from the Shah Alam District Police Control Centre.

The individual could only communicate using hand signs

Shah Alam District Police Chief, ACP Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim, shared in a statement that police managed to detain an 18-year-old local man at the scene.

After persuading and calming him down, he was safely brought back to the Section 6 Police Station.

Officers provided the man with clothes, and he was only able to communicate using hand signals. He also wrote down a contact number for someone who could be reached.

He has a history of mental health problems

The suspect’s father showed up at the police station later and explained that his son lives with his sister in Section 9, Shah Alam, and has a history of mental health problems. He had also been treated for psychiatric issues at Seberang Jaya Hospital in Penang before.

He has since been handed over to his father for further treatment at Shah Alam Hospital.
