It looks like the water cuts could be starting earlier than expected for some of us in the Klang Valley!

In a press release issued by Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (Syabas), it was revealed that there will be a temporary closure of Phases 1,2, and 3 of the Sungai Selangor Water Treatment Plant due to odour pollution.

According to their press release, this unexpected water cut is taking place today (19th July) and will affect the following areas;

  • Kuala Lumpur
  • Petaling Jaya
  • Klang
  • Shah Alam
  • Kuala Selangor
  • Hulu Selangor
  • Gombak
  • Kuala Langat

Syabas is currently updating its list of areas affected by the latest water disruption and will inform the public as soon as possible.

This comes after it was previously announced that scheduled water cuts would take place in the Klang Valley between 2 to 4 days starting next Tuesday (23rd July).
