People are taking sushi and burgers up a notch by combining the two together and everyone think it’s perfect!
The sushi burger is literally a burger shaped sushi, where instead of buns, it’s rice that’s shaped like one.
People all over the world are creating their own versions of the sushi burger and it’s making the viewers’ saliva drip.
While some are sold in restaurants, others made it themselves. The perfect opportunity to stuff all your favourite Japanese fillings!
Burgers are notorious for their greasy nature and is often associated with weight gain. But let’s be honest, we still can’t resist their oily goodness anyway. Many expressed their love for this new unique combination, especially on how healthy it is.

Instead of your traditional beef patty, you can fill it up with salmon sashimi, fish roe, avocado, tempura and other Japanese fillings.
To get into the spirit of it being a sushi, a seaweed strip may even be laid over the tantalizing burgers. Creative!
Why not drizzle your choice of sweet or soy sauce over the burger while you’re at it! And perhaps some rice flavouring?
The sushi burger suddenly got its hype from Instagram user @sobeautifullyraw when she created the simple vegan sushi burger that got everybody’s tastebuds excited. The burger was loaded with shredded Teriyaki chicken (replaced with jackfruit), avocado, pickled ginger, mayo and red cabbage.
While sushi burgers are generally healthy, some didn’t feel the need to keep it that way. Instead of the rice bun, it was swapped out for deep fried potato buns while others kept the patty part of the burger but included other Japanese ingredients.
