As a dad, there’s nothing more fulfilling than enjoying quality time with your son. Doing things together is a great way to build a strong connection and create memories that will last a lifetime.
In a recent video that’s been making waves online, @armandizzaq shared a moment on TikTok with his dad during the 1st day of raya.
His dad has never been out of Asia
In the video, Armand hands his dad an envelope with duit raya. His dad opens it, expecting to find money, but instead finds a printed paper that will help him achieve his lifelong dream.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Armand explained that he chose New Zealand for their father-son trip because his dad had never been outside of Asia. He believed New Zealand was likely one of the top destinations his dad would’ve picked if given the chance.
“It’s pretty much been his dream since he was really young, so this was like fulfilling a lifelong dream for him.”
“I just wanted him to live his best life and visit his dream destination”
The 26-year-old explained that his main motivation was to give back to his dad and acknowledge that, just like us, our parents have only one life to live. This is why Armand wants his dad to experience the best life possible.
To celebrate Hari Raya, he wanted to surprise his dad, so he contacted his dad’s supervisor, who also happened to be a close family friend.
Armand said the process was straightforward and that his dad’s supervisor quickly agreed to the leave, supporting Armand’s plan for his dad.
“The same night, I applied for my own leave and booked our flight tickets. The next day, on Hari Raya, I put the flight tickets in a duit raya packet and gave it to him. The rest is history.”
Armand wrapped up the interview by revealing that the father-son trip is scheduled from September 6th to 13th!
