The world of dating isn’t a bed of roses as you can encounter your fair share of weirdos, and this seems more apparent when you’re using online dating apps and websites. Of course, if both of you hit it off then you can proceed to the next level. However, if one is clearly not reciprocating then you should back off before you become a nuisance.

A Malaysian netizen recently shared with WORLD OF BUZZ about her rather unpleasant experience when she joined Facebook Dating and met a persistent annoying Singaporean guy who refused to take no for an answer. The lady told us that she’s currently working in Singapore and had met the guy on Facebook Dating on Saturday morning (October 20th).

“I created the Facebook Dating profile on Friday and on Saturday morning, got a message from this guy there. We exchanged phone numbers but I only started chatting with him on Sunday afternoon and then it got really weird and nasty,” she said.

At first, everything was fine and the guy asked for her number as both of them were seldom on Facebook and wanted to continue on WhatsApp. The guy was chatty and friendly at the beginning, asking her many questions about herself. But then, he seemed to be getting too nosy, and she did not feel like sharing too much about herself so soon.

She started ignoring him for a few hours as she enjoyed a little me time, but this seemingly pissed off the Singaporean guy. Take note that they barely know each other and she has no obligation to communicate with him if she’s busy! She had told him that she wanted to take things slow, but he did not listen to her. He called her replies “inconsistent and slow” and appeared to back off gracefully, at first

After she happily wished him well too, it looks like he couldn’t handle the rejection and started laying into her for absolutely no reason at all. First, he tries to school her on how to be a good girlfriend, then he starts getting personal by questioning her ability to commit in a relationship because she had ignored him for less than four hours.

She politely wishes him well again, but this triggers the Singaporean guy, who starts cussing at her and insulting her by calling her a loser. He said, “Typical Malaysian mentality. You got nothing to offer and beggars don’t choose. So don’t think you’re a bloody good catch lah and no Singaporean guys will waste time on you. On employment permit, no CPF so can’t buy a house even if you get married and all. So, I think those cheap Malaysian guys suit you better.” Whoa, chill lah bro! Get rejected much?

As if that wasn’t enough, he proceeds to tell her what she missed, showcasing himself as a great catch that she had let slip through her fingers. He shows her that he has a lot of money by sending her a photo of his bank account with over S$350,000 (RM1.07 million) in it, stacks of cash at home and a Ulysse Nardin watch he bought for S$47,000 (RM144,403).

He also insults all Malaysians, by saying we are all losers. “You further affirm all Malaysians are losers. No wonder the government also corrupted and even sodomise people. Can’t think well,” he added. The guy claims that he has a car accessories trading business and co-owns a car leasing company. He added that he has recently entered the logistics, and he has been single since October 2016.

She said that she had reported him to Facebook but doubts that anything will be done. She added that she just wanted to share her experience to warn others to be careful when they are exploring online dating options.

That’s no way to handle rejection! If you are such a great catch, why do you need to show off like that?
