A petrol station on Jalan Skudai was forced to temporarily halt operations after a car with a Singaporean registration number drove off with the fuel pump nozzle still attached, causing the entire kiosk to be torn off.

The incident, which happened on Friday at around 10:15 PM, was captured in photos and videos by a bystander who happened to be at the scene and later uploaded the footage to Facebook.

In the video, a petrol station worker can be seen running toward the collapsed kiosk, while a man exits a car bearing a Singaporean license plate.

At least three other drivers reportedly left their vehicles behind when the station’s operations were suspended for safety reasons.

Police report filed

A staff member on duty during the incident said a police report had been filed and the station’s insurance company had been notified.

The affected pump remains closed while safety inspections and cleanup efforts are underway.

The driver involved, a Singaporean man in his 30s, reportedly apologised repeatedly and cooperated fully with the station staff. He stayed at the petrol station until 3 AM to resolve matters with the authorities and station management.
