This is true Malaysian spirit!

The love and affection you have for a person sometimes go beyond the boundaries of love and religion. This was proven by Facebook user James Anandan who posted about his landlady, Ms Koh, in the group Malaysiaku Dulu Dulu Officials.

James has known Ms Koh since 1998. She used to be an English teacher at Sentul Boys School and Convent Girls School. James said that she was always very kind and friendly. Ms Koh never got married as she was always focused on her career.

Ms Koh when she started working as a teacher.

As James rented a room in Ms Koh’s house, he took care of all her meals when they were living together. Ms Koh was then sent to an old folks home by her relatives but James still makes sure to visit her all the time. He even remembers her favourite meals, Sambal Petai Udang and Rendang Ayam. He brings them over whenever he visits her.

“I consider her to be like my own mother. Ms Koh is now 87-years-old and I hope God blesses her with excellent health and longevity.”

Facebook users sent their wishes praising James for his kind heart. They also reminded the younger generation to always take care of the older generation in remembrance of what they’ve done for us.

Kudos to James for taking care of Ms Koh despite not being related to her. His kindness should be an example to all of us!
