“She said she’d jump” – PDRM Says Woman Who Died on KESAS Highway Wasn’t Thrown From Van

In an update by PDRM on the case of the 44-year-old woman who fell from a van on KESAS Highway, the police said the victim jumped out of the moving vehicle.

KL Police Chief, Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa, said the suspect, who was also the husband of the victim, revealed the matter during an interrogation and added that he was arguing with his wife before the jump took place.

Datuk Rusdi said the married couple was arguing about how the woman would occasionally drive the van despite having no driver’s license.

“During the argument, the victim told her husband that she was going to jump out of the vehicle before doing so.”

“Her 50-year-old husband continued the journey home, where he was arrested on the same day,” Datuk Rusdi explained during a press conference at IPK KL today.

According to the police, the suspect will be remanded until May 10 to assist in the investigation, which is launched under Section 304(A) of the Penal Code for causing death by negligence.

Earlier, the victim was spotted falling out of a van on KESAS Highway near the Awan Besar R&R. A witness then stopped to check on her and called the ambulance, but the victim passed away before she could receive medical help.
