An excerpt from their statement reads,

“MMC Gamuda KVMRT (PDP SSP) Sdn Bhd (MMC Gamuda) wishes to confirm that a segment lifter toppled during preparation to move the lifting frame above Sungai Gasi, near the Jalan Kuala Selangor worksite.”

“Neither workers nor members of the public were injured in the incident, which occurred completely within the confines of the work site and did not impact any public area.”

“MMC Gamuda wishes to state that the construction of the MRT project follows stringent safety procedures. Nevertheless, safety checks and procedures will be reviewed and stepped up at all construction sites for the project.”

The statement added that the project team would be removing the toppled segment lifter on Monday night (15th April), between 10pm and 6am (16th April).
