In a video that went viral online, a road user’s dash cam caught a scene in which a car reversed into his vehicle without any apparent reason and then attempted to scam him by accusing him of tailgating.

The incident took place at an undisclosed location, and the dashcam captured everything that happened that evening.

As the man stepped out of his car, he began shouting:

“Why did you hit me? Why did you hit me? I saw you hitting my car!”

The victim calmly responded that he had a dashcam that recorded the entire incident.

But the scammer didn’t stop there.

“I saw you hitting me. Now, do you want to settle this by paying, or should we file a report?”

The video ended with the man telling the victim to pull over to the side before getting back into his car.

Honestly, is this the new modus operandi for scammers these days—just walking away when they can’t extort money from you?

One netizen who commented on the video shared their own experience:

“This happened to me once, and it was the wife of the driver who went overboard. But she was later put in her place by a taxi driver who witnessed everything.”

If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, don’t let the scammers get away with it. Stay calm and document everything and stay vigilant out there!
