The incident happened on Saturday evening, where the men who were wearing full-faced motorcycle helmets drove up on three motorcycles and barged into the restaurant at around 9.30pm. They were all carrying machetes and started pointing and waving their sharp weapons around.

They grabbed the customers’ bags from each occupied table and any other valuables they had lying around while the helpless customers could not do anything but watch as they made off with their belongings.

It seems that the robbers were feeling light-hearted as they could still fool around. When exiting the restaurant, they motioned one of their accomplices over and one of them even gave him what looks like a playful slap on his behind to hurry him out of the place.

They managed to get away with a loot of RM30,000 in total from the cash register and the other unfortunate diners’ bags. According to the Star, Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Hamzah Alias said that the robbery happened too fast and the license plate numbers of the motorcycles could not be seen.

He also said, “We will be checking CCTV footage for clues on the robbers’ identities.”

Based on netizens’ comments, the incident allegedly happened at Restoran Medinis at Ukay Boulevard and based on CCTV footage was over in a matter of minutes.

Malaysia seriously just isn’t safe anymore!
