Our public transport drivers often have a bad rep thanks to the unfriendly and unhelpful behaviour of some. However, a RapidKL bus driver’s kindness has recently renewed the faith of Malaysians in public transport workers thanks to his considerate actions.

In a post shared by X user @farhanajafri, she shared the driver’s details, which are displayed on the side windows of the bus. She highlighted his efforts to go the extra mile for passengers and celebrated his commitment to customer service.

In her post, which tagged RapidKL’s X account, she wrote, “This is the first time I’ve met a bus driver who apologised for being late even though it was raining and not even his fault.”

“He honked before arriving at the bus stop and asked passengers if they’d like to go on the bus. Not just scolding people for not flagging their hands if they wanted to go on the bus.”

The post has since garnered over 900,000 views and 23,000 likes on X. Netizens praised his commendable manners and outstanding customer service, while others shared similar wonderful experiences with him.

“Deserves praise! It’s rare to find a bus driver like this. The others are always so angry.”

Another commented, “RapidKL should give good drivers like this an award.”

Kudos to that bus driver for being so kind! We hope that other public transport operators follow in his example.
