To all local small business owners, this one is for you!

It’s no secret that after the Covid-19 outbreak and the lockdowns, many small business owners have been impacted severely. Well, our government-run public transport organisation, Prasarana, is here to help.

As according to Bernama, Prasarana Deputy Chief Communication and Marketing Officer (Strategic Communication and Marketing Division) Rafizah Amran said that the ‘Rapid KL Support Lokal’ campaign aims to propel businesses surrounding public transport stations and stimulate the economy.

“As a company providing public transportation services in the country, we also need to help small entrepreneurs who run their businesses within the 500-metre radius of our train and bus routes, so that they can generate more income,” she said.

This means that Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) will help promote small local businesses for free!

The owner of Nasi Kahwin Hari-Hari, Rudi Farique commended Prasarana and said that he is thankful to them for organising a campaign that helped him get his business back off the ground.

“Alhamdulillah, business is brisk for me now,” he added.

The three-month-long Movement Control Order (MCO) had badly affected his business which he started two years ago.

“Through the campaign, we will help promote their business at no cost. Participating traders will also offer promotional prices and provide special coupons to Rapid KL passengers,” Rafizah added.

Prasarana has received about 150 applications from local businesses to take part in the campaign.

And again we say, Sapot Lokal!
