Be careful girls, if you’re at Bandar Sungai Long! There are a few perverts around the area who seem to be getting their kicks out of harassing girls. Since Tunku Abdul Rahman University (UTAR) is located in the area, this is probably what causes the perverts to hang about as there are many female students living in the town.

According to Sinchew, the university has received numerous complaints over the past two months from female students. These perverts would flash and masturbate in front of these girls. The most recent encounter took place a few days ago, when a female student was walking home.

She said that she was passing by the park located next to the parking lot when she saw a man wearing a helmet there. He had shouted, “Amoi!” and when she turned to look, he unzipped his pants and started to masturbate. WTF! This is not the first time that this has happened and most of the students who were harassed have already filed police reports.

The student council said that based on the descriptions given, there is more than one flasher in the area. They urged female students not to walk alone and to be alert, while asking the police to deploy more officers and patrol the area. Students were advised not to take secluded shortcuts and to keep an eye out as the perverts could be hiding nearby and might even follow them home.

The student council said that they have already discussed with the police and informed students to make police reports so that the authorities can arrest these sick people. There have also been reports of flashers in the area as well, which has caused the residents including UTAR students to feel insecure and uneasy. Females are encouraged to bring along self-defense items such as pepper spray or umbrellas as weapons if they encounter these perverts.

Look out and stay safe, girls!
