A Toyota Alphard was allegedly seized by Road Transport Department (JPJ) officers from outside of a house, apparently due to the vehicle not having a valid road tax.

The Viral Stories took to their Facebook page to showcase CCTV footage of the incident, where JPJ officers could be seen approaching the vehicle owner just as they parked in front of their home.

The Viral Stories wrote, “JPJ seized a car in Ops Luxury Car, due to it having no road tax. They’ll appear even at your home to find you.”

In the video, the Toyota Alphard could be seen pulling up to the house when JPJ officers approached the owner. After a certain process where items from the vehicle were offloaded into the house, the JPJ officers then drove away with the luxury vehicle.

Malaysians believe the officers allowed the owner to send their family home first

In a twist, Malaysians took to the post’s comments to speculate that the JPJ officers may have caught the luxury vehicle while on the road, but allowed for the owner to send their family members, who were inside the car, back home first before seizing the vehicle.

“Congratulations to the JPJ officers for being considerate by allowing the owner to head home and offload items before seizing the car. A prudent way of doing the job.”

“This situation might be that they were stopped near their house. They probably asked for leeway to offload their personal items at home first before the car is seized. Maybe lah.”

“I think they were already escorted from the start. It looks like the owner immediately started offloading items.”
