Reckless driving does not only endanger yourself but also other road users.

Recently, a video which featured a reckless driver overtaking another road user without signaling went viral on social media.

Whilst this may seem common on the road, the driver was seen to be playing with a set of hand cuffs whilst driving.

This could be seen as a possible sign of intimidation to the other driver who initially did not allow him to overtake in the first place.

It did not take long for the video to capture the attention of the police. Dang Wangi district police chief, Noor Dellhan Yahaya revealed in a statement yesterday (13 February) that the search for the driver as begun.

The incident had taken place on Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur. The police urged members of the public who have further information to come forward and assist with the investigation.

In the video, after he was seen overtaking the other driver, he can also be seen stepping on his brake a few times as if to mock the other road user before eventually speeding off into another exit quickly without signaling.

Should you have further information, you may contact Dang Wangi’s district police station at 03-2600222 or Kuala Lumpur’s police headline at 03-21559999, or any nearest police station.

Patience is a virtue. Sometimes, it is better to be a little late to your destination rather than to put yourself and others in danger.
