Gerakan Youth acting chief Lee Boon Hin said that if Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is unable to resolve the country’s economic problems, he should resign and be replaced by one of four potential candidates from the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition.
Speaking at Merdeka Square in Kuala Lumpur today (26th), Lee Wenxuan stated that since the Madani government came into power, its policies have had a profound impact on the national economy, not only weakening Malaysia’s international competitiveness but also causing foreign investors to retreat or even withdraw.

He acknowledged that while the government had previously criticised the Goods and Services Tax (GST) as ineffective, the current implementation of the Sales and Services Tax (SST) has had far-reaching consequences.
“The SST not only undermines Malaysia’s international competitiveness but also discourages foreign investment,” he said.
Lee, who is also a lawyer, added, “I’ve seen firsthand how the market, including the housing sector, is stagnating. Young people can’t even afford homes priced around RM500,000.”
He reiterated that if Anwar fails to address these economic challenges, he should step down as Prime Minister.
Lee also claimed that PN has four to five viable candidates who could take over.
“Even if the next Prime Minister isn’t from PN, there are still many capable leaders within the ruling coalition who are better suited than Anwar to lead the country,” he said.

However, when asked whether the candidates were from PN or Parti Gerakan Rakyat, Lee declined to disclose, according to a report by 8TV News.
Who do you think can replace Anwar Ibrahim if he doesn’t win in the next General Election?
