This is good news for uni students of all ages!

Earlier this year, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim allocated RM400 million to be given to university students of ages 18-20 under eTunai Belia Rahmah where each student can get RM200 one-off through participating eWallet providers.

On a visit to Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) where a dialogue between the Prime Minister and students was held, a student representative talked about how it was unfair as older students are ineligible for eTunai Belia Rahmah.

After hearing that, the Prime Minister made a decision that the age limit will not be imposed for the program, reported BERNAMA.

“I have made the decision for the e-Wallet aid to benefit all university students,” he said.

This means that the 2023 e-Wallet aid will be given to all eligible university students in the country to ensure that the aid benefits the group concerned.

Further information such as wallet providers and redemption details will probably be given when it gets closer to the date of disbursement.
