Overcrowding at Pusat Pemberian Vaksin AstraZeneca (PPVAZ), World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL), has led to many raising their concerns that the vaccination centre may lead to the birth of a new cluster.

As Malaysia speeds up its vaccination program, WTCKL has been the centre point for many to attend their scheduled vaccination arrangements and walk-ins ‘trying their luck’ despite not having prior appointments.

To give you an idea just how congested it was, here are some videos taken by netizens at WTCKL.

Raising his concern on the matter, comedian @DrJasonLeong writes, “Malaysia must be the only country where our vaccinations will produce more Covid-19 cases.”

In the thread, one netizen writes that a sanitisation run caused the congestion after an individual who had close contact with a Covid-19 positive patient came in for a vaccination.

“A very ‘intelligent’ individual came in to get vaccinated although the person had close contact with a Covid-19 positive patient.”

“We had to sanitize the entire area, which led to the congestion. We were short of personnel and the people who carried out sanitization duties were the same people who helped with the vaccination program.”

“If it was up to us, we would have just closed the entire building, but we went forward with it and sanitized the entire building within four hours.”

Ah, so that was what went down. Let’s hope that those attending their vaccination after this will be mindful of their current predicament before affecting others.

We can be a little more responsible, can’t we?
