The school holidays are over and kids are now back in their classes. However, for those who have to walk to school alone, it’s important to always be alert because predators are lurking everywhere. A 16-year-old girl from Kampung Baru Sri Parit, Lukut became the victim of a pervert who molested her as she was walking home from school.

The incident happened yesterday, (6th January) at around 2pm, Sinchew reported. The suspect had followed her on a motorcycle as she was walking home from school. The victim said she heard a motorcycle following her for a long time but didn’t realise anything was wrong.

Additionally, the road was one commonly used by students to commute home.

Suddenly, the pervert accelerated to pass her and when he did so, he turned around and grabbed her chest. The girl was shocked and frightened but managed to scream for help. Luckily, there were stalls nearby when she was attacked, and the vendors rushed to help her.

The pervert quickly ran away when she screamed for help. The villagers said they wanted to chase after the man but it was already too late by the time they had reacted to the victim’s scream. The victim managed to make it home safely but was still traumatised after the incident.

The head of the village said that he will assist the victim to lodge a police report and hopes that the police will perform more patrols in the village. Students and parents were urged to be more vigilant and avoid walking alone so that there were no more untoward incidents.

Remember to be alert and be careful!
