A recent post by @seasia.stats shows that Fort Cornwallis in Penang was rated as the 2nd most boring tourist attraction in Southeast Asia.
Southeast Asian destinations’ most boring tourist attractions
According to the data collected by an online gaming company called Solitaired, Located in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, the Thang Long Water Puppet Theater took the top spot in Southeast Asia with a boredom score of 2.2 out of 5.
Following closely behind, Fort Cornwallis, a bastion fort in Penang built in the late 18th century, ranked 2nd with a boredom score of 2 out of 5.
The least boring attraction in Southeast Asia is People’s Park, an urban public park in Yuexiu District in central Guangzhou, with a boredom score of 1.10, placing it 8th.
It was analysed from 66.7 million Google reviews of tourist attractions!
Solitaired put together the list by analysing 66.7 million Google reviews of 3,290 tourist spots around the world, across 384 cities in 71 countries.
Analysts gathered the boredom scores for each tourist spot by looking at 11 keywords that showed if a place felt tiring, lifeless, or boring, to find the least exciting spots.
Here is the list of the most boring tourist destinations in Southeast Asia along with their respective scores:
1. Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre (Vietnam) – 2.20
2. Fort Cornwallis (Malaysia) – 2.00
3. National Museum of Cambodia (Cambodia) – 1.60
4. Upside Down World Bali (Indonesia) – 1.50
5. Manila Zoo (Philippines) – 1.50
6. Rattanakosin Exhibition Hall (Thailand) – 1.50
7. Wat Xieng Khouane Luang (Laos) – 1.20
8. People’s Park (China) – 1.10
