PDRM Arrests Drug-Positive Man Threatening to Kill 2yo Daughter with Glass Shards at Kelantan Jetty

A man in Kelantan who tested positive for drugs reportedly took his two-year-old daughter to the edge of a jetty and threatened to kill her.

The incident occurred yesterday (14 January) at Jalan Pak Mayong, Tok Bali, where the suspect held shards of a broken bottle as he brought the child to the edge of the jetty.

According to Pasir Puteh District Police Chief Superintendent Zaizul Rizal Zakaria, the shards are believed to have been picked up from the surrounding area, as reported by Sinar Harian.

“Initial urine screening of the suspect showed he tested positive for methamphetamine. The cause of the incident is still under police investigation,” he said.

He also noted that the child suffered no injuries and has been referred to Tengku Anis Hospital for further checks and health monitoring.

Zaizul added that the police are continuing their investigation and will take appropriate action in accordance with the law.

“In the meantime, the public is urged not to speculate in ways that could affect the investigation and to fully cooperate with the authorities,” he stated.
