PDRM: 7yo M’sian Hospitalised After Standard 3 Students Allegedly Beat & Step on Him in Shah Alam School

A Standard 1 Malaysian student was rushed to the hospital after an alleged physical attack, in which he was beaten by two other students, who are in Standard 3.

The victim was admitted to a hospital on Wednesday (15 October) after his mother reported the incident to the police station at 9.51 PM the same day.

Shah Alam District Police Chief ACP Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim, who confirmed the incident, said the seven-year-old victim was beaten by both students during break time in the canteen of a school at Section 32, Shah Alam.

 

The victim allegedly stepped on and was threatened with more assault if he screamed

At the time of writing (17 October), the victim is still in hospital and is reported to be in stable condition, but the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) are still investigating and identifying the injuries he sustained as a result of the incident. The matter initially circulated on social media after a woman claimed that her son was bullied at school.

“In the report, the complainant stated that her 7-year-old son was beaten by a 9-year-old student while in the school canteen,” Iqbal said in a statement, as reported by Astro Awani.

The victim claimed that he was repeatedly stepped on in the stomach, chest, and legs, and that his mouth was covered and he was threatened with strangulation if he resisted or screamed.

Iqbal, in his statement, also said that the matter is now being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code for causing injury. Stay tuned as we keep you updated.
