Viral Malaysian TikToker, Abang Bas was initially convinced that everything would be alright.

Hours before he was arrested by police for filming underage girls, Abang Bas held a live session on TikTok and told everyone that there was no use going against him for his content, which includes acts of intimacy with his niece.

“Like all of you, I have common sense too. There’s no point in going against me because the parents are not going to take any actions.”

According to the circulated snippet of the live session, Abang Bas also said he had sought consent from the students’ parents for his content.

“Why am I smiling now? Because I’ve told the parents earlier about my content before filming their children.”

On the same night (September 6), Abang Bas was arrested by police at 2:57 AM and was investigated under Section 15(a)(iii) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 and Section 15(2) of the Child Act 2001.

Following his release, Abang Bas took the opportunity to clarify the incident and told social media users to stop defaming him. He also said that the kid whom he kissed was his niece, and added that he is naturally friendly to everyone, especially kids.

Just yesterday, Abang Bas was charged in court for 2 sexual offences, to which he pleaded not guilty. The judge, however, has allowed bail at RM30,000 and Abang Bas is not allowed to contact his niece and her family.

What do you think of Abang Bas’ content? How do you draw the boundaries with your relatives?
