“No more warnings” Individuals Who Are Not Fully Vaccinated Will Be Fined If Caught Traveling Interstate

Authorities will be issuing compounds to those individuals who are not fully vaccinated but found attempting to interstate travel.

According to Harian Metro, Bukit Aman Department of Internal Security and Public Order (KDNKA) Director Datuk Hazani Ghazali said the stern action would be taken through inspection by the monitoring teams at public places such as Rest and Rehabilitation (R&R) areas.

He added that the police will conduct monitoring and inspections so that the public adheres to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) set, besides ensuring that no unvaccinated individual will take advantage.

“The government had announced that those who want to cross the state need to be fully vaccinated, so they will need to comply with that,” he said.

“The police will not give any more warnings but will continue to issue compounds to those who cross the state without complete vaccination.”

Apart from monitoring R&R areas, Hazani said, the authorities will also be monitoring shopping malls and other public places.
