It’s not easy to avoid being emotional to certain news, especially when you can relate to it. However, to break down emotionally when you’re at work can imply that sometimes, we just don’t have the emotional capacity to “digest” an experience.
Just recently, a newscaster could not hold back her tears while reading the news about a 4-year-old who died in a horrific accident at Sungai Way, PJ. The newscaster, Norintan Ezreena was reading the news via a live broadcast and before she could finished her sentence, she was already on the verge of crying.
When the screen was displaying an image from the scene of the accident, Norintan went silent for a moment before she summoned all her strength to finish the news. Words can barely describe how tough it is to let your tears flow during a live broadcast where the public can see and hear everything.
A mother’s nature
According to a clip shared on the TikTok page kool101my, Norintan, who is also a mother said that reading the news instantly reminded her of her son at home, who is coincidentally also 4 years old.
“My nature as a mother was touched when I read the news.”
Norintan admitted that it was not her 1st time getting emotional during a live broadcast because she is naturally empathetic, especially when it comes to children and senior citizens.
“As a human being, I think it’s common. I just have to be more professional when doing my job,” Norintan explained.
What happened to the unfortunate child?
In case you missed the news, the accident happened on July 23 (Sunday) when the kid was hit by a Nissan X Trail around 5:30 pm, according to a statement by the police in PJ.
PDRM believed that the driver failed to step on the brake on time and hit the kid, who was confirmed dead at the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre.
According to another viral TikTok clip, the parents had just welcomed a pair of twins not long ago. At the time of the accident, the father was preparing milk for the twins and everyone was urged not to put the blame on anyone in this matter.
It’s never easy to deal with a loss one. We hope the family can brace through this tough time, and kudos the Norintan for successfully delivering the news despite the overwhelming emotions.
