This is just too much!

According to Daily Mail, a newborn baby in China was recently found in a public bin by a rubbish collector. Upon finding the baby, the man took the baby to a nearby hospital for a check-up.

Once the baby was brought to the hospital, doctors were able to locate the parents and managed to contact them.

The baby’s parents reportedly said that they decided to dump the child because he was premature and they thought he would not be able to grow up healthy.

The rubbish collector reportedly found the newborn baby while scavenging for valuables in rubbish bins right outside the Fuling Centre Hospital in Chongqing, China.

What makes things even more unbelievable is that the baby’s parents were still in the hospital when they decided to dump the baby!

After finding out that the baby was premature, the parents both decided they would abandon their child.

Shortly after that, the father brought the baby out of the hospital and left him in a nearby rubbish bin.

Luckily, the baby was found not too long after that and was sent back to the hospital, where doctors performed a check-up on the baby.

Although the baby is premature and about the size of an adult’s arm, he has a clean bill of health, which means that the parents had absolutely no reason to dump him in the first place!

In a statement by the parents, they explained why they wanted to dump the baby, saying,

“We were afraid he [the baby] wouldn’t live long because he was born prematurely.”

“We didn’t think carefully before throwing him in the rubbish bin.”

The parents were only given a verbal warning for their actions before being allowed to take their baby home.

Shouldn’t parents care for their children regardless of whether or not they’re healthy, though? This is very irresponsible behaviour!

Well, at least the baby is safe now. Let’s hope he gets to grow up and live a normal, healthy life!
